Beare Green Village Hall. Merebank, Beare Green, Surrey, RH5 4RD

There will be a Beare Green beacon as part of a chain of national beacons, to celebrate the queen's jubilee.  It will be lit at 9:45pm sharp on the large playing field by the roundabout on the A24 facing the entrance to the Weald School - old Beare Green, on Wednesday 1st June.  We have been assigned this time by the Queen's Pageant Master.

BGCA will put out tables and chairs in/adjacent to the village hall car park for villagers to bring their own food and drink from 12:00 to 16:00 on Thursday 2nd June, as we hope some may choose to have a street party there, and will probably serve cake and teas.  We do need to put the tables and chairs away at 16:00, so please plan for that if you want to use them.

Saturday 18th June is our fun day from 12:00 to 16:00, with dog show from 14:00 to 15:00.  We will have 15 very varied stalls including a facepainter and a safe BB shooting range.  BGCA has paid for a free bouncy castle for children, there will be a time limit inside per child in order that everyone gets a go, but you can then queue and have another free turn.  There is an excellent raffle with really good cash and other prizes.  Refreshments for sale will include cheese toasties, pizzas, beer, pimms, tea, coffee and cakes.  There will be free entertainment by Nelson Porter and his band, with an interval in that during the dog show.

Look at the cinema tab for our programme of popular films each second Saturday of the month 7:30pm for £5.

Our AGM will be 9th June in the village hall at 8pm
